About Us

CodeBros was created in June of 2016 by Kevin Chang, Jim Wang, and Jack Chen. They felt that students with special needs were often left out of the loop when it comes to mobile applications; most applications were too difficult to understand and use. Thus, they spent about three months bringing to life game ideas that would be specifically tailored towards these students. After creating the apps, they would ask the students to test them since user feedback is extremely valuable in ensuring a great user experience. Thus, CodeBros was born.

Special thanks to our special needs consultant, Po-Yu Yen. He is a program coordinator at FCSN.

Kevin Chang

I am a sophomore studying computer science at UC Berkeley. My areas of interests in computer science include data structures, web and iOS app development, and databases. As I gain more industry experience in the field of computer sceince, I hope to use this experience to give back to my community that has allowed me to become who I am today.

Jack Chen

I am going to be a rising senior studying Electrical Engineering Computer Science at UC Berkeley. My area of focus is mobile development with an emphasis on iOS applications. As a full stack developer with experience dabbling in graphic design, I like to bring ideas with potential to life. I count myself very fortunate that I've found the sweet spot between art and coding as a mobile developer.

Jim Wang

I am a sophomore at Monta Vista High School. In my free time, I like to play piano and make apps. I love working with special needs children, and I have been teaching special needs classes for 3 years.
